Volker Türk, le Directeur de la protection internationale du HCR,  commente la tragédie au large de l’île italienne de Lampedusa. Des plus de 500 passagers sur le bateau, supposément Erythréens, seulement 147 ont été sauvés à ce jour. Le bateau, qui provenait de Libye, a pris feu à un demi-mile (800m) de la côte.

Volker Türk, Diretor de Proteção Internacional do ACNUR, comenta sobre a tragédia ao largo da ilha italiana de Lampedusa. Dos cerca de 500 passageiros no barco, supostamente eritreus, apenas 147 foram resgatados até agora. O barco, que se originou de Líbia, pegou fogo a meia milha da costa (800m).
